Sunday March 25, 2007

Hello Class!

I missed being in Sunday School this morning, but as Jesus’ mother, I had other duties! What a beautiful drama! As usual, Lori Van Lenton brought us another talent-filled, inspiring, and moving performance. We are indeed fortunate to have such a dedicated music director.

Today’s lesson was entitled “When It Comes to Social Action”/ “How to be Politically Involved Without Losing Your Soul”. From the notes I received, this lesson was somewhat preaching to the choir. Genesis is a generous class- financially and time-wise. Wesley is a mission oriented congregation. Of course, we can always do more. It is vital that we contribute to the less fortunate and oppressed in a physical way, not just sending money to solve the multitude of problems that plague our world. Remember the old adage, “give a man a fish…”.

Have a wonderful week!
Beth
