*We had a fabulous Sunday with the Genesis Class - 49 people in attendance. We missed alot of our regulars to the youth ski trip (we prayed for you!) and to those who missed due to a long weekend. See you next weekend!
Rick and Nan Richards are hosting a "SuperBowl" Genesis Party. Tentative details: 4 p.m SuperBowl Sunday - for shooting of skeet and a "Pig Pickin" to follow. All families are invited. Please bring a dish to share and a beverage (please, no alcohol). More details to follow.

Today’s lesson was a continuance in the book, Finding Rest When the Work is Never Done, by Patrick Klingaman. Julie touched upon four areas of our life that will suffer due to lack of rest- body, mind, heart, and soul. Your body is your #1 source of stewardship. If you don’t take care of it, your service to others ceases. Stress has very negative effects on our physical well-being. 2/3 of Americans get less than 6 hours of sleep per night. There are more automobile fatalities in teen drivers due to lack of sleep, rather than alcohol related. Slow down and pace yourself! Our minds are a flutter of constant activity. We need to take our focus off a worldly perspective and onto an eternal one. The Richards family has been without TV for 14 months now! Rick cannot believe how much time they wasted in front of the tube. It has given their family much more togetherness and a less stressful household. The heart is mentioned over 800 times in the Bible. Some causes of a heavy heart are unfulfilled expectations, wanting what others have, and ingratitude for what you do have. Statistics reveal that 80% of lottery winners are broke after 5 years of winning! Refer to Psalm 23. It is our assurance that God will meet us in that ultimate vacation resort in the sky!!
Be well…hoping to see you at the tournament Saturday!
