Lesson

9/16/07
Julie continued Max Lucado’s study on the Book of Hebrews. Julie covered chapters 4,5,6,7 in Hebrews. We discussed God’s great, high priest—Jesus Christ. Because of the perfect sacrifice, His Son Jesus, we no longer have to offer sacrifices or go through a priest to obtain God’s gift of grace. God’s justice (or fairness) is available for all who seek Him. We can count on God to rescue us in difficult times even when our predicament comes from our own making. God never tires of reconciliations. His compassion, love, and mercy never cease. He will never, ever give up on us! God wishes for us to demonstrate compassion toward those less fortunate. There are numerous opportunities to show mercy to those in need. Rick reminded us not to forget those RACK envelopes.

The study of Hebrews will continue throughout September. The first Sunday in October, the 7th, Julie will begin discussing Just Walk Across the Room. Books are available in our classroom.

I hope you have a terrific week!
Beth
